Professional Development
Our professional development offerings span from small, interactive workshops, to large-scale didactic presentations. The topics of our professional developments range depending on the needs of the school, but our most commonly requested sessions are:
- Teaching with the Brain in Mind
- Teaching with Stress in Mind
- The Science of Learning
- Self-Regulation for Neurodiverse Learners
- Practical Strategies for Regulation
School Assessments
Our assessment team can conduct an investigation to determine strengths and areas of need as it relates to student wellness. The assessments typically evaluate what is currently in place to support students with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. Our assessments are typically mixed-methods, including qualitative and quantitative portions, but are uniquely tailored to meet individual school and district needs. Within all of our school contracts, we regularly engage in data collection to ensure that our services are aligning with the intended impact.

Our InMind Educational consultants provide tangible, actionable, and research-supported tools to help schools better support students' regulation. Our consultants integrate within the community and culture of the school to provide customized Tier 1 and Tier 2 support that meets individual school needs. The consultants can provide student and classroom observations, feedback, and tailored resources to support challenging behavior. They can also participate in school committees, MTSS teams, and PLCs. Our consultants believe that schools can be calm, regulated spaces, and they're equipped with the tools to help make that happen.

FBSAs & PBSPs
Our Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) provide a comprehensive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based view of the student to generate the data needed for a neurodevelopmentally sensitive behavior support plan. Our FBA process includes direct and indirect assessment, data review, and a thorough final report explaining the behaviors, hypothesized function(s), and potential root cause(s). Our Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) provide an actionable plan for students and their teams; PBSPs pair high-level support with high student expectations to give students the greatest opportunity for social-emotional growth and development. While we utilize some traditional Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) data collection tools to guide this work, we also expand our lens beyond typical ABA, integrating trauma-informed principles so we can provide a plan that honors the whole student and team.

We envision the relationship between schools and families as a true partnership. We want the strategies that are effective in an educational setting to be shared with the home setting. Our school-community support provides access to the InMind Family Membership for all families within the school or district. That membership offers resources addressing various topics relevant to parents (e.g., helping manage your child's anxiety, step-parenting, and advocating for your child with an IEP or 504 Plan).
Additionally, schools can opt to purchase family coaching for all families in their community so that schools can refer parents and families who express a desire for more supportive strategies.
